MEC’s certified and approved welders hold most of the records in steel production in the region. One of them was the largest repair performed in Panama, with a 450 tons renewed to a car carrier within 90 days in the year 2008 . And the other most recent one was a 57 ton steel renewal on the MV Eagle Otome performed in 15 days in February 2010.
PIPING WORKS
A wide range of different types of pipes on ships have been taken down for repairs at our workshops. Our staff includes certified welders under ANSI and ES WPS and have DNV, GL, ABS, LR and BV certifications, as well as experienced fitters and supervisors who can successfully, quickly and precisely repair pipe systems of all kinds, including engine rooms, ballast systems, cargo manifolds, fire foam lines, steam piping, high pressure pipes, hydraulic lines, boiler pipes, pump room pipes and cargo system pipes.
SHIP ELECTRICAL REPAIR SERVICES
Either regarding Regular Maintenance of Electric Systems or Severs Fire on board vessels, our onsite services include the rewinding of generators and motors of all sizes, including ship main propulsion systems. We can carry out repairs on coil winding, starters, switchboards, breakers, and electric motors.
